After the late 2022 announcement that $1.5 Billion in grant funding will be available through the Rebuilding Infrastructure with Sustainability and Equity (RAISE) discretionary program for 2023, state and local transportation agencies were provided another opportunity to get more support for their projects.

And this isn’t the last of the funding opportunities that will be available. It’s expected that more funding is ahead for projects that address important issues of safety, equity, improving services, and boosting transit ridership. But we also know that specific guidelines for public engagement as a part of these measures have yet to be published.
